Yn Nulliau y Cymry
Celtic spirituality ancient and modern.
Continuity and change with especial focus on Welsh traditions.

~ A fresh and vigorous exploration of Celtic traditions, with the main focus on Wales. A wild and wonderful mix of Y Mabinogi scholarship and storytelling, together with Celtic Darklight philosophy, Celtic artwork, Wales today, freedom politics, and a little bit of Y Cymraeg.
~ Celtic Ways does not claim to set out “the Celtic tradition.” There is no such thing. Instead we look at various doorways, and ways of seeing from the ancestral first farmers to modern Wales. The divine and the everyday, transformations and shapeshifting, Annwn, authority and who’s who around the Celtic communities. The weekend includes an evening Circle dedicated to the Elders of the Land.

CIRCLEWORK!
Pioneered by Shan in 1985 this is the famous solidly practical and freedom loving approach to ritual work, which also teaches Darklight philosophy.
A practical and philosophical review of the classic ritual Circle. The approach is deeply down to earth, without fuss, without speechifying. Power and gentleness, working realistically through the body.
FOR solitaries, the community minded, leaders and activists; for beginners and veterans alike, we can all learn from each other. For all faiths and traditions. Led by Shan with help from her friends.
~ How to plan so that whatever happens, the magic flows powerfully and safely.
~ How to balance freedom and spontaneity with a useful minimum of rules.
~ How to work in a small or (very) large group with full, active participation.
~ Family rites. How to include children or run a children’s Circle.
~ Outdoor indoor rites compared with their different needs.
~ Your personal interests, your wisdom and your questions.

Everyone on Circlework receives a clear, concise booklet of notes to take away. From the pioneering Circlework first taught 1985 at House of the Goddess, London, but updated and matured.

The Circle is presented in seven clearly explained stages. Each stage has its job to do to make the ritual work.
There is an absolute minimum of simple rules and any equipment exists on most kitchens.
The rules give a safe, strong, practical foundation on which you can build the ritual you want in your own way. You can even break the rules, as it is explained what happens if you do, so it's your free choice,

MOTHERHOUSE
LEADERSHIP WITHOUT FOLLOWERS.

As a good mother nurtures her child towards independence, good leadership works towards equality. Of course so much leadership does not, but let's not throw baby out with bathwater.
Motherhouse seminars are not advertised. Please ask if interested.
Leadership is a set of practical and emotional skills. Learning them we can all become leaders, contributing to groups, clans, networks in usefulness and honour. Each of us are better at some than others: which shows us our leadership task.
Where is hierarchy useful? and where not?
MOTHERHOUSE - LEADERSHIP WITHOUT FOLLOWERS is a special study group to develop a certain kind of leader and teacher. It aims to develops a network of learning among Eartth Traditions where students connect with different motherhouse teachers, building independence in a loose but strong web between the teachers and students both. Motherhouse teachers intersect between their own independent Centres so the motherhouse web flourishes on difference and exchange.
