Croeso! House Morgain is a temple:
a house of peace, learning, and celebration.
We provide several very different cylch (paths). Each cylch or path opens the way to knowledge and personal power.
Different paths suit different people.
Some people need to work in different ways at different times. Some love working different ways at the same time!
Many of our one day sessions can also be done on their own.

YMWEILIAD / VISIT
You can arrange an individual Visit for a few hours, or longer, by arrangement.
(We are not a drop-in centre.)

What can I do during a Visit? Choose what you'd like to make up your own personal Visit. This is not a rushed, crammed package for you to fit into and submit to. It’s a gentle time for you, opening out who you feel you really are, enjoying yourself in a peaceful and creative place with a friendly Pagan family. LOTS MORE INFO

What is a Visit for? To simply be in a place dedicated as sacred in the Pagan way.
To be in an individual retreat for a few hours or a day or more, away from TV and the other pressures of modern life.
To find peace, inspiration, learning, help or mutual delight here.
Or to meet the House family.
Or to find out more about House Morgain work and projects.
Or to look at linking with the House Morgain community network of groups and individuals.
Or to move towards becoming one of the House Clan.
Or any combination of these things, as you wish.
These are CHOICES or POSSIBILITIES for you. None are imposed on you.
You choose what you’d like to happen during your visit. MORE INFO

What can I do during a Visit?
You can choose what you like to make up your own personal Visit. This is not a rushed, crammed package but a gentle, creative time for you, opening out who you feel you really are, enjoying yourself in a peaceful and creative place.
You come here as our Guest so of course we will spend some time with you to welcome you, show you around, and chat with you to get to know you. But you may also like to have a special uninterrupted and focused time to explore something (or several things) important to you.
We call this a Personal Meeting.

PERSONAL MEETING A full hour’s individual special time especially for you to share, discuss, explore your choice of topic – this could be one thing or more. You might be asking for help or you might want to share experiences as an equal to find renewed inspiration, or just enjoy good quality exchange.
Examples are –
Goddessing; the Craft; Druidry; Celtic Spirituality & Culture; Paganism; Ritual work; Initiation; Women’s Spirituality; Men’s Spirituality; Women’s History; Ancient History; Modern History; Philosophy; Politics; Ecology; Economics; Money; Self employment; Big decisions; Being stuck, being ill, being depressed; Organising personal matters; Organising an event or project; Love, commitment and sacred sex; Children; Being young, being an elder; Being different; Personal creativity; Writing; Study skills or exams; Academic research; Networking and community.
Your Personal Meeting would most often be with Shan, but for some topics John, Colin or another Elder of House Morgain may be better able to work with you. We'll talk that over with you before you come.

MEDITATION, DANCE, TAI CHI etc in the Dance Room. Meditational or power music - or bring your own. You can ask us to share some time like this with you.
BEING IN THE TEMPLE ROOM Set out in the quartered Circle in simple style so you can easily feel at home. We’ll answer questions if you have any.
READING/ STUDY We have an extensive library of fascinating books. You can read them for pleasure or for studying. Big comfy lounge with deep couches. Or sit at the oak table. Quiet music optional.
GARDEN We have a garden which is a plain grassy space with a firepit, making a pleasant outdoor space to sit when the weather is fair.
CAT FRIENDS We have a clowder of seven cats most of whom are happy to befriend our guests.
WOODLAND WALK There is a beautiful Ancient Woodland near us where we go for our walks. We can take you there and continue sharing good companionship with you.
EAT AND DRINK Make your own drinks or snacks whenever you wish. The kitchen refectory is a big country kitchen with everything for you to use on open shelves, easy to see.
STAY FOR DINNER You can stay to share the family’s evening meal. Shan and John are famously good cooks and love to nourish our guests with solid uncomplicated tasty food. Much of it is organic (yes we’ll cook vegetarian if you ask).
COMING SOON:
CRAFTS WORKSHOP
for woodwork, metalwork, sewing, artwork etc.

How long can my Visit last?

A Visit means you come to House Morgain for a period of time that suits you, and us.
An hour. Several hours. A day.
Sometimes you can even stay overnight and have a second day.
Normally your Visit is arranged for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. During the summer and sometimes at other times we can host you on other days too.
Please note all visits are strictly by arrangement. This is not a 'drop in' house.

Can I have more than one Visit? Yes.
Can I come with a friend?Yes do, but only one companion, unless we know one of you already. This is not a group or course - although a private group course can be arranged too, for our normal day course fee.
A human friend as companion please – sorry no dogs, because we have cats.

I don't want to 'join' anything. That's good. We like independent minded people. We are totally uninterested in recruiting you, persuading you, or putting pressure on you, in any way. We like different kinds of people.

What does all this cost? NOTHING! No money.
This is a big project and we want it to be yours, doing it together. So you 'pay' by giving a little help back to the House.
You give back to the House by doing between one hour and four hours work service, depending on how long you stay.
How long you work depends on how long you stay here. How you work depends on what you can do, and what needs to be done. Many things needed are simple everyday things.
We have a fair bit of experience in including someone in work time who cannot walk, or has partial vision, or limited energy etc. Everyone has limits in one way or another. That will be carefully discussed before you come.
Half a day Visit (up to 4 hours stay) = 1 hour work.
One day Visit (over 4 hours) = 2 hours work.
Two day Visit = 4 hours work.

What you do for your work service matches what needs doing, with what you can do.
Examples are cataloguing books; typing lists; cleaning, polishing, tidying, washing things; painting a wall or woodwork; small DIY jobs; gardening; helping in the kitchen. As part of the preparation for your Visit we’ll give you the current list of what the House needs and talk about which kind of thing suits you.
We do not accept money as a substitute for giving the House your service time.
Sauna coming soon! There may be a small charge to cover power costs if you’d like a sauna session. If you don’t know about sauna we will explain and help.

Where are you?
